FAQ

  • Where is the wedding taking place?

Our wedding will be held in Mérida, Yucatán, Mexico — a vibrant, historic city known for its colorful architecture, incredible food, and warm hospitality. We’re so excited to celebrate with you in a place that feels both meaningful and magical to us.

  • When should I arrive?

We recommend arriving the morning of Friday, July 3rd, so you have time to get settled before joining us for the Welcome Dinner that evening.

Many of our guests are choosing to arrive earlier to enjoy Mérida and make a long weekend out of the trip — we highly encourage it if your schedule allows!

  • What events are planned?

We can’t wait to celebrate all weekend with you!

  • Which airport should I fly into?

Please fly into Manuel Crescencio Rejón International Airport (MID) in Mérida.
It’s a small and easy airport located:

About 20 minutes from downtown Mérida

About 15 minutes from the cathedral

About 30 minutes from our reception venue

  • Will there be transportation provided?

Yes! We will provide transportation to and from the main wedding events so you can relax and enjoy the celebration without worrying about logistics.
A full schedule will be shared closer to the wedding date.

  • Where should we stay?

Please visit the Travel tab on our website for recommended hotel room blocks and details.

While we have secured options for convenience, we highly recommend booking a nearby Airbnb if you prefer more space or are traveling with a group — Mérida has many beautiful homes that allow you to fully experience the charm of the city.

  • What is the weather like in Mérida in July?

July is warm, tropical, and vibrant — expect:

    Hot temperatures (mid-80s to 90s°F)

    Humidity

    Possible brief afternoon rain showers

Think lightweight fabrics, breathable outfits, and comfortable shoes.

  • What should I wear?

We want everyone to feel stylish and comfortable in the Yucatán heat.

Welcome Dinner: Festive summer attire (think relaxed but polished).

Wedding Day: Formal / Tropical Formal
Lightweight suits, flowy dresses, linen, silks, and breathable fabrics are encouraged. Please visit our Dress code tab for wardobe inspiration.

  • Is there a dress code for the cathedral?

Yes — as this is a historic cathedral, we kindly ask guests to dress respectfully:

    Shoulders covered is appreciated.

    No overly casual attire.

  • Do I need a passport?

Yes! A valid passport is required for travel to Mexico.

Please make sure your passport is valid for at least 6 months beyond your travel dates, as many airlines will not allow international travel if your passport is close to expiring.

If you need to renew, we strongly recommend doing so early to avoid processing delays.

  • Can we make a vacation out of this trip?

Absolutely — we hope you do! Mérida is surrounded by incredible culture, cenotes, Mayan ruins, and amazing food. It’s the perfect place to turn this celebration into a long weekend getaway.

You can find local recommendations in our Travel Tab.

  • Will there be a registry?

Your presence at our wedding is truly the greatest gift.
As we’ve already built our home together, we’ve chosen to create a honeymoon fund for those who wish to contribute to our next adventure.
